ARE YOU A LEADER, OR DO YOU WISH TO DEVELOP YOUR LEADERSHIP SKILLS?  STUDENT COUNCIL MAY BE JUST THE THING FOR YOU. 

Chocksett's Student Council is a very active council, and this year we hope to expand involvement in both our school and community.  In addition to organizing many school activities, "STUCO" will also give students an opportunity to work as a team and develop strong leadership qualities.

If you are interested….All students in Grades 5-8 can be an active member in "Stuco".   In addition, students in 8th Grade can run for Board positions - President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

Application forms are attached - please be aware of deadlines posted.

Clubs

DRAMA CLUB - an after school program for students in grades 5-8, interested in the theatrical arts.  The function of the Drama Club is to produce a musical production each spring.  Membership can include, but is not limited to, performers (dancers,singers, actors) and stage crew (set designers/painters, costume designers/creators, etc...).  Drama Club will provide students with the opportunity to not only participate in all aspects of a musical production, but learn performance skills, audition techniques, and technical aspects of the theatre.

GAMING CLUB
For students in 7th & 8th Grade

Students from the 7th and 8th Grade will be able to engage in a variety of activities and games designed to promote thinking skills and encourage social engagement of other students.  This club will focus on different kinds of non-computer gaming, from classics like Chess and Backgammon, to card games like Magic the Gathering, to miniature games like Star Wars X-Wing and Warhammer 40k, to board games like Risk, Ticket to Ride, and Catan.  Other appropriate games will be welcomed.  Students can bring their own, and are encouraged to invite other 7th and 8th graders to join!


The club is free to join, and is considered open-enrollment all year long.  Join any time throughout the year, come when you can.  It’s gaming after all!
